Field Notes

Description:

I had to go as early as 5:30 AM from my base to this spot to see these beautiful birds fly by in the beautiful forests of western ghats. Learnt from the fellow expert that this bird is very active in early morning from 5:30 till 7:30 or 8 and in the late evenings from 5:30 to 6:30. There were close to 7 pairs in this region. We could count them as they were flying in their own territory.
