Field Notes

Description:

Alert bird with light brown back and belly tinged with yellowish-orange. Short, straight bill.

Habitat:

Foraging on a strip of land cleared for farming in the huge area adjoining the Himalayan high altitude Hemis monastery. It hopped away as I approached.
