Description:

This tree has simple and alternate leaves and is very tall.

Habitat:

Typically lives on edges of dry or most woods, In rich soil and on the rocky banks of streams. Typically have the most success in deep rich soils.

Notes:

Found in the town forest so location spotter may be slightly off. Seeds, buds, or twigs are dietary items of pheasant, bobwhite, ruffed grouse, and beavers.
