Description:

This snake was continually swimming and twisting in a tank of water and wouldn't keep still for a moment.

Pelamis platura, commonly known as the yellow-bellied sea snake, yellowbelly sea snake, or pelagic sea snake. It is the only member of the genus Pelamis.

Habitat:

Seen in a tank of water in the Reptile exhibition at the InBio Park in Santo Domingo, Heredia, Costa Rica.

A species of sea snake found in tropical oceanic waters around the world.

thanks valgaavmiko... Interesting link.
There have been xanthic colonies found of P. platura that are all yellow in color like this one. It's a neat deviation of the usual black dorsal and yellow ventral pattern. They're fairly common.
