Field Notes

Description:

This is a Striped Black Crow that i found near the bushes in my backyard. The wingspan of this butterfly is about 80 mm.
<br><br>
This butterfly has velvety brown wings above and the forewing is usually unmarked. The hindwing has a series of white submarginal spots and a corresponding row of whitish submarginal streaks. The dorsum of the forewing is curved in the male, but is straight in the female of this species.

Habitat:

- Spotted near the bushes in my backyard. Usually it can be found around the garden and forested areas.
