Description:
Quercus coccifera, the kermes oak, is an oak tree in the Quercus section Cerris. It is an important food recourse for the sheep and goats in several Greek islands, and it can be found growing in strange shapes and sizes because of the continuous harvest of the young sprouts and leaves by the animals. Spotted in the mountains of Skyros island, Greece.
