Field Notes

Description:

Looking for crawdads with the kids and found this fascinating guy. It was clinging to the underside of a rock in the edge of a creek. Glad it was on the rock and not one of us!
I'm not 100% sure about the species. It has a sucker part on each end and can move along like a slug or like an inchworm. About an 1.5 inches when its scrunched up, but it can stretch itself out to about 5 inches long when it is reaching for another surface to climb on.
