Field Notes

Description:

The bluebirds in my front-yard nesting box were ready to fledge and the parents were very busy bringing them food. I wasn't surprised that they fed them dried meal worms from my feeder as well as insects they caught, but I hadn't expected that they would be feeding the babies wild raspberries.
