Field Notes

Description:

These are eccentric fungi with recurrent gills and are growing in a rotting log.
The caps are white with faint tan stronger towards the centre.

Habitat:

A rotting log in heath-land in Royal Botanical Gardens, Cranbourne

Notes:

They look like the oyster fungus but might be the toxic and bioluminescent ghost fungus. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/38718087

I've had confirmation that this is the ghost fungus and not oyster. This one is a whole lot more toxic and bio luminescent.
