Description:

Looks just like the common Rock Pigeon (Columba livia) but has a white band on the tail that shows best when the bird is in flight.

Habitat:

A small flock was spotted by the side of the high altitude, brackish water, Himalayan Pangong Lake in Ladakh.

Notes:

Also known as Eastern rock dove or Turkestan hill dove.
