Description:

This is a Leaf Insect that i found on the guava tree near the forest. This leaf insect is green in color, and it has extremely flattened, irregularly shaped bodies, wings, and legs. It is called leaf insect because its large, leathery forewings have veins that look similar to the veins on the particular type of leaves it inhabit. The size of this leaf insect is about 80 mm.

Habitat:

- Spotted on the guava tree near the forest. Usually it can be found mainly in tropical areas and rainforests where adequate quantities of vegetation (such as mango, guava, cherry, dewberry, raspberry, blackberry, oak, bramble, and Rambutan) are available for consumption.

Notes:

This leaf insect is from the family Phylliidae. It is widespread in Southeast Asia; in Borneo, China, India, Java, Malaysia, Singapore, and Sumatra.
