Description:
Egretta thula (Heron Golden-fingers).
It measures between 47.5 and 67 cm and weighs about 370g. It is characterized by having a totally white body with black beak and legs with yellow toes. They have yellow eyes and a small yellow band that extends in front of them to the base of the bill. The plumage is equally white but with longer and curved feathers on the chest, crown and back.
Habitat:
It inhabits fresh and salt water aquatic environments such as estuaries, mangroves, swamps, lagoons and muddy beaches, although occasionally it also uses grasslands.
