Description:
Six-spotted tiger beetles are easily recognizable by their bright metallic green color. Like all beetles, their elytra (hardened front wings) meet in a straight line down their back when closed. Most have 6 white spots, but spot numbers may range from zero to eight. Adults are half an inch long with rather long legs.
