Description:
Shrublike, red-purplish stems with bright red leaves that get stronger with maturity and full sun. The seeds are small and white, the fruit is the red/pink prickly ball. The maximum height of this plant is 1.8 meters.
Habitat:
The castor oil plant originates in Asia and Africa. It's also a herbaceous ornamental plant.
Notes:
If the seeds are broken, they are highly poisonous. An allergic reaction to the skin can happen if you come in contact. If ingested the results may be fatal.
