Description:

The Ebony Jewelwing is a very beautifully colored species of damselfly. Their wings go more towards the back and not straight out. Can get up to 2 inches in length throughout their whole life. The ebony jewelwing has a very unique color. The male is bright turquoise. Females have a brownish color to them.

Habitat:

This female ebony jewelwing was spotted with several others in the woods near a stream at Muddy Run Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
