Description:

Redstart or Common redstart is an Old World flycatcher (fam Muscicapidae), roughly the size of sparrow; but slimmer and a bit more elegant in profile. Portrayed here is male, flamboyant in his breeding colours: orange-red breast, pale orange belly, black face and throat, white forehead, ash-grey crown and back. Caught in the middle of his song.

Habitat:

Common flycatcher in Europe woodlands, here observed in central Georgia, on a wooded slopes of a hill above Mtskheta; a township on periphery of Tbilisi.
