Pampas Deer
Ozotoceros bezoarticus
-20.2181, -46.4769
Field Notes
Description:
The photos are, actually, of two groups of "Ozotoceros bezoarticus" that was grazing near each other (but, with "near", I mean some like 3km of distance).
In the 4th photo, you can see a male with a scar of a broken horn. Probably, a signal of fight with another male in the mating season.
Habitat:
I found this group on a region of Cerrado, inside the area of the "Parque Nacional Serra da Canastra" ("Canastra National Park"), an environmental reserve of Cerrado.
