Description:

A pair of antenna with light whitish and dark brown strips on the elytra
Length : ~5mm
Season : Rainy season
Time : 3:30 am

Habitat:

Spotted inside the car parking very close to open abandoned area with lot of plants

Notes:

Must be some species of weevil

Thank you folks for your suggestions. :) @Ornithoptera80, One small clarification. In your link, the inner pair of white stripes is equal in length when compared to outer pair. In above spotting it is short. Is it a ignorable difference to categorise it as a different species?

I looked at the Research gate link earlier today. The species Alcidodes karelinii is from parts of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Asia, not India. The only Indian representation that matches is Sternuchopsis fabricii. Both species look the same, but found in two different regions.
