Description:
16-51 inches. Like the fancy garters that once were fashionable for holding up men's socks, these snakes have longitudinal stripes, one on each side of the body (three). Most have pale yellow or orange stripes.
Habitat:
Variety of environemtns, including ponds, woods, farms and city lots. It is a spirited snake that will defend itself energetically when cornered. Non poisonous and usually hides like this one did.
