Pond Skater

Velia rivulorum

Hahah, it's we need to so keep staying on PN. I always watched the pond skaters but i guess never saw any color or pattern on them so I couldn't come up with that guess and especially that it's sitting on a leaf :)
I was convinced it is a Coreidae until the first google page on the screen, then I searched for Alydidae, again, "blank" screen. And my google obviously can't speak French anymore, too much time on Project Noah ;-)...
Haha, I was so sure it was under Coreidae but didn't find anything so I thought it's just me :). It's a pond skater!? Hard to guess, first time I see it...french spottings are surprising :). Thanks for the great help!
Gerridae (!), Velia rivulorum. No wonder I did not find anything under Coreidae. What does this stupid little beauty doing on a leaf, it should be on/in a pond! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerridae http://www.flickr.com/photos/berniedup/9200427113/
