Field Notes

Description:

Buff and cinnamon coloured body. The head is sort of cream coloured. . Bill, legs and feet are black.

Habitat:

Enroute to Lake Pangong in Ladakh we passed this watery site which was actually quite far away from the road. The lond shot gives an idea of the habitat.

Notes:

We stopped to take a few shots but the mountaineous road is a narrow one and we were holding up traffic...the area was deserted when we came back the next day on our way back to Leh town. No ducks and no traffic.
Also called Brahminy Duck, I think.
