Description:

Medium-sized tree with spreading crown. Flowers are large, funnel-shaped, maroon coloured and dangle. Fruit is like a sausage and hangs from the trees by means of thin stalks.

Habitat:

Avenue and garden trees.

Notes:

Reportedly the seeds are poisonous. Bat-pollinated flower.
