Field Notes

Habitat:

Breed in tundra and boreal forests across the extreme northern regions of North America. Winter from the southern United States through the northern half of South America in lagoons, mangrove forests, wet ditches, swamps, wet fields, mudflats, saltmarshes, tidal sloughs, and the edges of lakes, ponds, and rivers.

Notes:

This little guys were up early, their yellow legs flashing as they darted to and fro in between the snoozing Dunlins which together with a few Black-bellied plovers formed a mix group on the muddy shore.

Wonderful spotting. The lead photo is particularly awesome. Florida seems to be the place to winter.
I'm exited to see some spottings from the Everglades!
