Field Notes

Description:

Another egret not being harassed, and casually preening near edge of wetland. It did not mind my presence at all, and if I had my waders probably could of walked up to it. There was ton of frogs jumping away from me though, so in a moment of youthful exuberance I took off running down the shoreline, sending frogs flying. At this point the egret took off and flew following me, conceivably after the frogs I had spooked.

Habitat:

wetland adjacent to urban greenway
