Field Notes

Description:

Smaller dark Dancer with blue sides on the thorax and a dark thoracic shoulder stripe. Eyespots are small and blue. The abdomen is mostly dark with a grayish purple rings that don't close at the top and the middle segments are black on top.

Habitat:

Spotted on the marshy end of a pond in the high desert
