Field Notes

Description:

Pale aqua leafs with purple flowers that grow in columns. The body of this plant is covered with fur.

Notes:

The fur which covers the Lamb's Ear is an evolutionary tool which uses the tiny hairs to: a) Trap moisture in the air and helps morning dew to condense upon the leafs and keep them cool, and b) to create a micro-climate around the body of the plant, helping to combat dehydration in the hotter months.
