Field Notes

Description:

Orange butterfly fairly common in most of Iowa. White spots on outer wing.

Habitat:

Found feeding on milkweed in an open prairie-like area.

Notes:

Chased after these guys all day to no avail. As the sun was setting I thought I'd give it one more try and these beauts loved the attention.
