Description:
Endemism fron the centre of the Iberian peninsula.
8 - 20 cm high. The stem surges from the buried bulbous from which there also sprout the leaves, up to 3 mm wide, long with two marked lines underneath. The flower, or even three flowers per bulbous, blooms in springtime (and summertime in the mountain heights), are strong yellow coloured, and very erect. The external petals are totally open, broad and rounded and the internal unes are fused forming a short bell-shaped corolla.
The fruit forms bombing considerably the ovarius at the end of the long tube that the flower forms, where it connects to the stem.

Habitat:
It grows in rocky places with very little organic substrate. Spotted clos to a big rock in a rocky clearing at 1600 meter high at Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama
