Field Notes

Description:

8-10 inch owl like bird with grey to brown overall feather pattern. Darer to black facial mask.

Habitat:

Adjacent to a wetland and golf course with large pines and large bald cypress stands. Nest located in a man made bird house originally made fro pileated woodpeckers. House is located 35-40 feet up on the side of a 4 story office building.
