Description:

This species has dark brown wing and feature a series of white-centred black ocelli set within a suffused area of orange towards the outer part of both wings. The markings are repeated on the underside. On pictures are mating butterflies.

Habitat:

Mountain meadow, 1600 m asl, Nature park Velebit

I am glad you found it Jopy! I could not decide between E. medusa and E. oeme. Since you IDed it I've read that E. medusa has brown antennna tips, so I've learned something new. http://www.eurobutterflies.com/species_pages/medusa.htm
