I should actually add the family, you are right. Thanks a lot!
I pass Boane every time I go to Swaziland :) It is so beautiful there with the the Lubombo mountains. Let me know if you wish to have some photos from there (drop me an e-mail in that case). Gorongoza has recovered quite well due to a private initiative from a rich American. When visiting last year, we were quite brutally "road blocked" by a herd of elephants with small. A thrilling experience and an evidence that the animals sets the rules there, nut the humans! That is the real Africa!
:-) you pass by Boane,it's the first person that i talk that go there in modern days, now is a town,in those times was a little native | army, village, very cool :-) I hope you make it on Gorongoza,my father use to tell me that was like a animal paradise, after i heard that during the civil war they make enormous chases on elephants and other big animals but that with the peace nature is recovering very well and that we can now see again big animals:-)
Fantastic that you are born here! I have even passed your town of birth. I work here on a one year contract. I am based in Maputo, but right now I am out in the field for three weeks! It is great to be able to travel from the south to the north by car! On the way back, I am planning to get into the Gorongoza park. I was there last year, and it was fantastic! (on the way up north we slept in Gorongoza village). I hope you get the chance to come back one day, I am sure you will love it. Last but not least, this is my page :)
Great capture Tiz,and taken in mozambique,my born country,i born in Boane 60km from Maputo,a looong time ago :-) so i have allways a extra curiosity of all the mozambique spottings,i have to go to your page to search for more? My father have been in Gorongoza many times during the colonial times,we came to portugal in 1962,imagine and since there i never return, are you in vacation there?
You have got it at a right moment. It's a swallowtail butterfly caterpillar, but don't know exactly which species.
