Description:

A couple of years ago there was a big wild fire near our home. i believe this turtle is a survivor. It is missing a leg and the marks on the underside look like burns to me.the scaring is becoming common on turtles i find now.

So very sad!! Wild fires do kill and injure animals, I am so happy she made it, Three- toed turtles are one of my favorite. Thanks for sharing, AliceGriffith.

Turtle are very hardy animals, glad he made it through and he seems to be doing just fine!
