tiny mm long, segmented, tan, red head and thorax markings, short antennae

Habitat:

landed on my key board outside on a porch!

I can not find it in a specific plant. I find this nymph and adults in a wide variety of plants, are solitary, are not gregarious. here a picture of an adult: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/393296014
I agree.. but I think yours are different. Type of plant can be helpful did you notice your plant species?
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/147166016 Not believe it is Homalodisca vitripennis, Mark Ridgway. Homalodisca vitripennis nymphs do not have these long antennae nor flattened body. Sometimes this kind of leafhopper nymphs has a short antennae.
I have some similar insect. I'm looking for an ID and not find. If you find the family or genus, please let me know. thanks
