Field Notes

Description:

Large green parakeet (larger than its cousin,Psittacula krameri) with red patch on shoulder.

Habitat:

Garden of a government institute where the staff regularly puts out maize (corn) and seeds plus water for the birds.

Notes:

Happily feeding alongside Rose-ringed parakeets (Psittacula krameri) and squirrels.
