Seen in a small plunge pool at the base of a dry waterfall in a canyon along the Illinois River near Ottawa, Illinois. American Bullfrog?

Bullfrogs and Green frogs are very similar, but the difference between them is that Green Frogs have a dorsolateral fold and Bullfrogs do not. If you look at the ear, you will notice a fold that wraps around it from the eye to the front leg. Then in the curve of that fold, you will notice another fold that extends down the back. The fold down the back is the dorsolateral fold :)
