epiphytic orchid. In Java treatments for fevers associated with Malaria have been treated by boiling the plant and making a broth which is taken by mouth.

Notes:
I spotted this orchid growing on a dead fallen over piece of bamboo suspended just above the ground. It was the first time I had seen an orchid growing on bamboo like this. Bogani Nani Wartabone national park.
