Description:

A brightly colored orchid. White petals sit on top of a white pouch streaked with pink. Hairy oval leaves clasp the stem.

Habitat:

The lady's slipper grows in spruce and tamarack bogs, swamps, wet meadows and cool, damp woods.

Notes:

Hundreds of orchids spotted on Hwy 29 along Pine Lake.
