Description:

Of Cicadidae family. It may be Cicadetta montana, but I'm really not sure.

Habitat:

Hillside with pretty high vegetation.

Well this was the only place I think I've seen (and heard) cicadas in Romania. I forgot the exact name of the area, but I remember it being a protected area (not very big), because of the rare steppic habitat (Stipa capilata) among other protected species).
The only time I have seen Cicadas in Romania was once when I visited the Romanescu Parc, in Craiova, and they were coming out from the ground, climbing on the trees, developing into adults and making a great noise in their thousands. I looked them up then, but it seems they are not that well studied in Romania. Nice to see they also appear around Sibiu.
