Description:

This bird can grow up to 28 cm in length and hunts crustaceans, insects, rodents, snakes, fish and frogs.

Habitat:

Widely distributed in Asia from Turkey east through the Indian subcontinent to the Philippines.

Notes:

Other names are white-breasted kingfisher or Smyrna kingfisher.
