Field Notes

Description:

These two parakeets appeared to be a pair, and I am pretty sure they had a nest in the building they are perched in front of.

Habitat:

Urban

Notes:

When these birds started squawking, it was very loud for a bird. "The Wildlife of Costa Rica: a Field Guide" states, "Seldom caged, the volume of its screeching vocalizations is probably unbearable in an enclosed space."

Thank you! They were so fun to watch, except for the obnoxious squawking.
