Yes, Mark. The way it pose, the thick hairs, the long palps and chelicerae makes it look more like a tarantula than a huntsman. Need a clear picture of it's eyes to safely confirm that it is a tarantula.
You might be right Chun... thicker legs, bigger fangs, spinnerets, it looks very like Richard Seaman's Sulawesi model http://www.richard-seaman.com/Arthropods/Indonesia/Highlights/index.html#Tarantula
Can you share with me a high resolution photo showing it's eyes? That would be really helpful to confirm whether it is a Huntsman or a Tarantula.
