Field Notes

Description:

This crow has come to visit my feeders daily for the past weeks, despite being harassed by a family of grackles whenever s/he shows up. As I don't know the sex, I've given the crow the gender-neutral name of Casey. Casey is especially fond of grape jelly and apples but will also eat a bit of suet if s/he can manage to balance long enough to snag some from the suet feeder. Large size makes this a challenge (but s/he is managing to do this now as I post this!).
