Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful little group of Mycena, although they may not be since the genus is under going revision, of course when are fungi groups not being revised? I was not thorough in my collection of data, will return today and try for at least a provisional ID.

I did return, found several more in the area, all appeared to be growing from detritus. Along with the clear juices, absence of odor, and the extensive root-like mycelium led me to my ID.
did you go back and find anything out? were they growing on a buried pinecone? nice find by the way
