Field Notes

Description:

This Pickerel Frog was discovered in our back yard by our 8 year old son, Noah, in 2011. In 2012, after seeing a story on tv about the Pickerel Frog (http://www.wsmv.com/story/17678749/new-species-of-frog-found-in-nashvil…), we sent our pictures to Austin Peay University where the species was confirmed and documented as the first one discovered in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Habitat:

Grown up moist areas in back yard.

Hi gretchencatron, can you please crop this picture to where only the frog is showing, and turn it right ways up? We try to eliminate photos with human faces in them for privacy reasons, I hope you can understand that. It is great that you found a county record! At the bottom of the page is the link for the FAQ, that can tell you more about this site, and we look forward to seeing more spottings of yours in the future! :)
