:) Paid off...for us, viewers too. Congrats again.
Sukanya my patio has very little green areas so it really stood out! But I'm always looking down when I walk the grounds in my community since we have so many different creatures and greenery. I live close to a creek so the nature hunting is abundant.
I am so curious.....what made you stop, look, pick it up? I mean...I'd have walked right past!!!
Sukanya when I found it, it wasn't connected to a root, not sure if it detached on its own or not, looked like a dirty toy ball and was just sitting on the ground. Have been here five years and have never seen one before in the area I live.
Never even "knew"about Earthball...how do you recognize one?
Don't feel bad - leave that to me. Inspires me to be a little bit bolder. I've never seen inside one of these earthballs before, so I'm so glad you took a look. Inquisitiveness is an awesome thing!
Thanks you Hema and Neil.. I barely touched it just for those reasons. I did feel bad about cutting it but I had never seen one before and was really inquisitive. There are so many odd species where I live and I can't help but want to learn more about them.
I agree, Benjammin - be careful. However, I love that you have the courage to do this. I'm too soft and send myself on a major guilt trip if I so much as knock a mushroom over. "I Killed it"!! Good science id not for the lite-hearted. Looks so chocolaty and nice.
Benjamin, always be cautious. You never know what is poisonous and what is not.
these are better not inhaled. The spores can rapidly grow into new ones.
