It is in flower from May to June. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Bees, beetles, flies.

Habitat:

Open, wet, subalpine and alpine marshes, wet seepages and marshy meadows at elevations of about 10,000 ft
