Field Notes

Description:

These are red long skinny creatures with at least a thousand legs and they are fast. We find them under the leaves in the play yard.

Habitat:

School playing field in Windsor CA, under leaves.

Notes:

This is the best pic I could get because it was so fast moving.

Red and fast moving is more like a type of centipede! Millipedes tend to be slower and when they feel threatened they curl up into a ball.
