Description:

Dragonfly. Most dragonflies prefer to perch themselves close to water, The length of time they remain perched can vary. Dragonflies can see many places at once because of their compound eyes. Very sensitive to movement. The Widow skimmer is part of a group of dragonflies known as King Skimmers.

Habitat:

Discovered on a thin branch in a field at Muddy Run Park, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
