This looks like a resident snake. I have seen it in the same spot for the past 4 days.I must talk to the Park ranger and see if they need to put up a sign.
This is just at the beginning of the trail and right close to the walking trail! Well hidden in the dried grass but could be stepped on so easily. Dogs are always sniffing around. Wow! Thanks!

most likely i would say two rattle snakes because there are two rattles but i cannot identify the species for you
