Field Notes

Description:

In the Crow family. Mostly black with white wing patches and white belly. Long tail and loud voice.

Habitat:

Can be found in most of the western states. In forests, open plains and many times in urban areas where it can find food freely.

Notes:

In California you can find the Yellow-billed Magpie in most of the state, so the Black-billed is not a common sight for me.
